11/27/2007 - Weaver and Tidwell’s Michael B. Benedict Chosen to Join Institute of Investment Management Consulting
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Michael B. Benedict, CFP was selected to become a member of the newly established Institute of Investment Management Consulting (IIMC). Benedict is a senior financial advisor for Weaver and Tidwell Financial Advisors, Ltd.
IIMC exists to help financial advisors drive success in their consulting practices through educational programs, ongoing communications forums and networking with other financial advisors. The organization gives advisors advanced knowledge matching high-level institutional money management consultants. Benedict successfully completed a three-day certification program covering essential investment management consulting topics such as asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction and scored a high 90 percentile on the required examination, earning the designation of Investment Management Consultant.
A certified financial planner with more than 18 years of experience in financial services, Benedict works with business owners and individual investors on retirement planning, insurance, qualified retirement plans and comprehensive financial planning. He has contributed to the Fort Worth Business Press, been a source for numerous articles written on financial planning and was named by D Magazine as one of the top financial advisors in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
Benedict earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and management from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration degree in financial planning services from the University of Dallas. He is a member of Financial Planning Association.
